What is Ultrasonography ?

Medical ultrasound is a type of diagnostic imaging technique. It is used to see internal body structures such as tendons, muscles, joints, vessels and internal organs.

Obstetric Sonography

Obstetric sonography has become a useful procedure in the assessment of women’s cervix who are at risk of giving premature birth. Additionally, ultrasonography is a must for women who experience preterm contractions, as those whose cervix length exceeds 30 mm and are unlikely to deliver within the subsequent weeks.

The procedure of obstetric sonography includes the following :

Routine Sonography

Regular or Routine Sonography is done for viewing internal organs such as :

3. Upper abdomen
